New York, N.Y.— The John Jay
College of Criminal Justice Department of Athletics has announced
that Otis Fenn has been named head men's
basketball coach.
Fenn joins the Bloodhounds after having spent the past nine seasons at New York City College of Technology (NYCCT), including the past six as head coach. He spent the first three seasons there as assistant coach under legendary head coach Ray Amalbert where they led the Yellow Jackets to the programs only City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) men's basketball championship during the 2004-05 season.
In Fenn's nine seasons at NYCCT, the program had 10 players named conference All-Stars and one named CUNYAC Player of the Year.
"We are excited to have Otis Fenn aboard," said John Jay Director of Athletics, Dan Palumbo. "Otis brings many years of CUNYAC coaching experience to the table and knows what it takes to coach at this level."
The John Jay men's basketball season is set to tip-off on Tue. Nov.15 at Bard College at 8 p.m.
